Ultrasound Testing
As like XRF testing, ultrasound testing is a machine testing. It is a nondestructive and a perfect way of determining your precious metals purity without melting or damaging them. This testing is done using the ultrasound to calculate the changes in the specific material reliability.
Working – In this process, an ultrasonic pulse emitted from a stethoscope-like transfer or an ultrasonic flaw detector is pressed against the test subject. The transducer detects any change in the direction of the ultrasonic pulse to find out if the object is made of same material. As ultrasonic waves change direction with the change in medium, any change in the pulse denotes the inconsistency of material. So, an ultrasonic test is much easier and quicker than melting method.
